About Us

The Arts Initiative at Ovations was founded by Rita Ogden Zeshonski in memory of her grandmother, Margaret B. Sanchack in hope to provide performing arts opportunities to kids who may benefit from the exposure of formal dance training and to open their minds and hearts to a new creative outlet while learning in a safe and nurturing environment.  Since its inception, Ovations Arts Initiative has expanded its scholarship platform to include vocal and musical instrument studies as well.

Become an Angel Donor

The Arts Initiative at Ovations provides many different scholarships to dancers new and current. However, to protect the integrity and sensitivity of each dancer and their needs, all Angel donors and scholarship recipients will remain anonymous for a seamless transition of young dancers into class so they may feel free to express themselves in class.

Ready to be an angel to a young dancer looking for dance classes?

With love and memory, the following scholarship is given in honor of Margie Ogden who was always a huge part of Ovations Dance Studio.  Since 1999 she was always in the office. When Jack (her grandson) was born in 2018 she stepped away from office duties to be “Mom-mom” and continued to be a big part of rhinestoning, painting props, making bows & costume accessories, accounting and whatever else needed to be done. Margie passed suddenly on February 24th, 2022 from complications from her 1st chemotherapy treatment to battle aggressive breast cancer. She is missed by her family and friends and especially missed by her Ovations family.

The H.O.P.E. scholarship was established to honor what made “Miss Margie” unique:  her originality, her perseverance and her emotiveness.    This educational scholarship in the amount of $250 will be awarded to a dance student that embraces these qualities and uses them to better their studio environment.
